Mayor Romualdez weds 15 couples

TACLOBAN CITY – Mayor Alfred Romualdez tied the knot of 15 couples during a mass wedding held recently at the Mayor Alfred Social Action (MASA) Center.
During the wedding ceremony, Mayor Romualdez gave pieces of advice to the newlywed couples, as he said that as parents their primary role is to take good care of their children so that they will become good members of society.
“You must cherish and take care of your children and make sure that they will not become potential problem in the city when they grow up,” Romualdez said.
He also stressed to the couples to develop spirituality in the family just like the Holy Family, which typifies a model family.
“During misunderstandings and quarrels, it is better for the couple to calm down and pray; ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit,” Romualdez added.
He further said that when the couple fights, the children are affected and it is them who suffer.
Mayor Romualdez advised everyone to keep away from any vices like smoking or drinking too much of liquor because these are the roots of quarrels in the family that could be imitated by the children..
After the wedding ceremony, the mayor took the chance to congratulate the couples. (Noel Sevillano TalacaY)
