Egloso says PNP now using Facebook

TACLOBAN CITY – The Philippine National Police has now its own account at the popular social network Facebook as part of thier campaign to solve crimes.
This was revealed by the chief of the police community relations of the PNP-8, Superintendent Elizar Egloso.
He said that their Facebook account was alreadylaunched in the Camp Crame and now ready to connect to every individuals in the whole country.
Egloso said this is to widen the PNP networks because they need the cooperation of the community in order to find the fugitives and those who engages in illegal activities,Egloso said.
However, he also said that they will check first the veracity of the information that being sent to their account in Facebook before they can take an action to every report.
He appealed to the public not to deceive the PNP by giving wrong or false information and not to use it as a joke. Instead he asked their full cooperation to help them in the campaign against criminality.
“I strongly believe that through the Facebook we can reduce the crime rate in the country in order to maintain the peace and order in the society”, Egloso said.
