TOMECO as partner of TCPO on curfew implementation

TACLOBAN CITY – The Traffic Operations Management Enforcement and Control Office (TOMECO) committed their support for the implementation of curfew in the city as planned by the Tacloban city police station.
This was confirmed by Jobs Lagutan, TOMECO information officer, who added that their office was tapped for partnership to help the curfew program by the city police so that it will be implemented properly and be part in solving criminality in the city specially in rescuing minors.
He revealed that their task is to give lectures on values, good characters and other formation subject that will help them realize what is good and what is bad for them.
“We are glad that the TOMECO office will serve as the instrument in disciplining the young Taclobanons that is supposed to be the task of their parents,” Lagotan said.
He opined that through this program, they can rescue young people from the bad environment that influence them to become criminal.
“Our young generations nowadays are very intelligent, so what they need is guidance from the old ones so that they can use their intelligence to become productive citizens and for the betterment of society,” Lagutan said.
He also appealed to the parents to monitor their children and give them the necessary guidance as well.
Earlier, the Tacloban City Police Office has implemented curfew in the city with the approval City Mayor Alfred Romualdez in partnership with the TOMECO and the city social welfare office.
The purpose of this program is to give solution and address criminality in the city involving minors who are being used by adults in carrying their illegal acts.(NOEL SEVILLANO TALACAY)
